Allowing Downloads in WebCT

Download Blocker

There are 2 different solutions to this problem  You can either disable the download blocker (Option 1) , or you can take the extra steps every time you try to open something and allow the download (Option 2).  Either way will allow downloads.

Option 1:  Disable the download blocker:

To stop blocking file and software downloads with the Information Bar

• Open Internet Explorer.
• On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
• On the Security tab, click Custom Level.
• Do the following:

To turn off the Information Bar for file downloads, in the Downloads section of the list, under automatic prompting for file downloads, click Enable.

Option 2: To allow a download

• Click on the warning box in the upper left hand side of your browser
• Click “Download File”
